Walter Ray Allen is an American professional basketball player who is currently playing for the Boston Celtics in the National Basketball Association. He has played professionally for the Milwaukee Bucks, Seattle SuperSonics, and the Boston Celtics; and collegiately for the University of Connecticut Huskies. One of the most accurate 3-point and free throw shooters in NBA history, he is a ten-time NBA All-Star and won an Olympic gold medal as a member of the 2000 United States Men's Basketball Team. Allen has acted in two films, including a co-starring role in the 1998 Spike Lee film He Got Game. On 02011-02-10 February 10, 2011, Allen became the NBA's all-time leader in regular season 3-point field goals made, surpassing Reggie Miller's mark of 2,560. On 02011-03-11 March 11, 2011, Allen surpassed Miller's career total of 6,486 3-point field goal attempts.

CarLo When it comes to NBA basketball, there are some players I like to watch because I consider them to be great. In the old times, I'm fond of watching players like Reggie Miller, Charles Barkley, Scottie Pippen, and Michael Jordan. They are few basketball players who can really dominate the game and impose their will to win. After some time, there was a young rookie drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks. His name is Ray Allen. Ray is a talented player who came out of UCLA. For many years, Allen had been the focal point in the Bucks offense and he had been their star player, but his campaign in Milwaukee is not much to be talked about. Then a sudden move in the roster in the 2000's and he found himself wearing a Seattle Supersonics uniform. His stay with the team made him a prolific scorer and a potent shooter, but there's still one thing that separates him from the great men of the NBA and that is to win a championship. Fortunately he got traded to the Boston Celtics where he became 1/3 of the team's "Big 3" and he finally have a championship belt under his name. Ray Allen is one of the many players I idolized and respect because of his sheer will to win games. He has the ability to perform in clutch situations and he can score. Definitely, he can score. In addition to this, in my opinion, he's one of the few players who have perfected the shooting stroke. That's why he's a great 3-point shooter and free throw shooter. No doubt, Ray Allen will be included in the basketball hall of fame when he retires. He will be remembered as one babyface assassin who posed fear on the opposing teams whenever he's on the floor. |
