Theodore Anthony "Ted" Nugent is an American guitarist, musician, singer, author, and activist. From Detroit, Michigan, he originally gained fame as the lead guitarist of The Amboy Dukes, before embarking on a lengthy solo career. He is also noted for his conservative political views and his ardent defense of hunting and gun ownership rights.

Lokesh In my liberal opinion, Ted Nugent is a blabbering grumpy old dude. I don't think he has put much thought or any credible amount of pondering in the rigid stances he vocalizes so earnestly. People like Ted Nugent are insensitive and downright offensive, especially to those that have borne drastic consequences of the stupid views he and those like him espouse. Ted Nugent's stances on gun laws are based on ideas that have no relevance in the modern, everyday reality faced by the majority of Americans. I hope he one day gets to taste the medicine he so vehemently prescribes through his words to the unsuspecting among us. I do agree that he was a tad bit talented musically, but I don't believe that entitles him to blare his prejudices and half-brained opinions so loudly in our ears year after year. If conservatives truly believe that his opinions are in line with their core philosophy, I may have to begin to wonder about their sanity too. |
