Peter The mid-air functionality of the mouse does work very well. You pick it up off the desk and instantly the mouse pointer changes and you can control it by moving your hand around. If you have a media pc which you want to control from your sofa then it's great, for example. For normal desktop use though it's not very comfortable so paying extra for it would be a bit of a waste.

Marek The scroll wheel on this mouse is a little strange. It's not actually a wheel but a more like a touch pad. You slide your finger up and down it to scroll up and down. It generates a noise (a clicking) when you do so. This has its pros and cons. The pro is that you can get to the bottom of a document very quickly with one brisk slide. The con is that is that it takes a bit of getting used to to scroll short distances. If coming from a standard scroll wheel you'll hate it at first and then probably grow to like it. I have!
