Steven I recently was in the market for a camping lantern. I needed one that ran on batteries because using a kerosene or gas lantern got really to hot keeping the kids and animals away from it was not really an option. So, I picked up a Dorcy Lantern. It has met my expectations. It does not get hot to the touch. It is bright and extremely durable since the kids like to carry it around the camp ground. I would highly recommend this product for an efficient source of light while camping or as part of an emergency kit.

Sheila I love this lamp. I've been camping for years with my family and had one of these as long as I can remember. The light is bright and can be focused at different stregnths/field widths depending on where you slide the switch that turns it on and off which is great as it can work as a spotlight for a small area or light up a whole tent. Durable too, they can definitely take a beating.

Teran One of great product i bought. Because last year i bought a lantern. It haven't bright light as i needed. So i thought a buy new one without wasting my money. In last month I bought a Dorcy Spotlight Lantern. It has affordable price and also it has good brightness as i need. So i can suggest this as a one of best lantern for use.one of good thing is it required 4 cell batteries.
