Dave I'm not really interested in home defence. But this website did catch my eye when I saw it here, and so I thought I'd make a qick comment on the marketing tactics. I found them to be pretty scare-mongery, and focused a lot on the fear element. Is selling via fear a valid tactic? Yes, I suppose so, but I don't think it's the most ethical one. I'd prefer to see the site detailing more the features and past successes of their product, rather than highlighting the danger to families. Just my 2c.

Pauline It thought it was interesting that this website is selling tips and tricks from the burglars and robbers themselves. There must be hundreds of secret techniques that burglars have picked up over the years, and of course we're never going to find out about them unless we're in that profession ;-) I don't have too much interest in making my home into a fortress (I live in a pretty safe area), but I would like to find out about these secret burglary techniques. Purely out of interest, of course!

Hrvoje I've seen their website. I think that this is a complete scam. The creator of this "brilliant" idea is trying to induce paranoia in regular people. He is trying to convince the American public that the end of the world as we know it is imminent, and that you can stay safe by learning HIS groundbreaking defense tricks. This is an insult to one's intelligence and a complete waste of time. Do not trust this guy.

Daniel As mentioned by another user, I'm a little sceptical about whether or not this course is relying on fear to generate a profit. That said, this is a genuinely good way of avoiding common mistakes that make your home an appealing target to burglars, so perhaps there is something good-willed behind this course.
